Kamp Kaleidoscope

Kamp Kaleidoscope is a unique five day, 2 hour art program designed exclusively for children age 6 to 12 with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Led by professional artists, the participants will explore a variety of art mediums to experience creative play and art making. 
The session runs 
August 11-15 from 
9am - 11am.  This session is limited to 10 artists, register early!

Camp Spotlight
Kids & Clay
Ceramic Hand-building
Weeks 9 & 10 at 9am


Two weeks of fun with clay! Learn current ceramic hand-building techniques while creating images from nature, other artists and the current exhibit. Your unique drawings and ideas will become clay sculptures that are glazed and fired! Each
session limited to 10 students age 8 and up.

Week 9 at 1:15pm
A painting class for beginners or intermediates age 9 and up! Students will paint a still life, landscapes or portraits while learning composition, color mixing and different techniques with brushes, palette knives, watercolor and acrylics.

Every year, the Coral Springs Museum of Art is proud to host an annual fundraiser with the mission to raise support for the Museum's innovative and educational art programs and exhibitions. This year, the Museum will present on Thursday, 
September 11, 2014.


Photographer Clyde Butcher, the Ansel Adams of Florida, is the honored celebrity guest for this event. Guests will be able to meet Clyde and view his newest body of work, Preserving Eden: Clyde Butcher's Florida Photographs, in the Museum's Main Gallery. Retired pro football players, Darryl Williams and Darrell Fullington, will also be attending the event as celebrity guests.


Attendees will be able to mingle with the celebrity guests, enjoy live entertainment, bid on auction items and enjoy sweet & savory food & beverages provided by area restaurants and caterers.

are on view in the East Gallery. Watch Stewart's video during your visit. A fascinating mix of animation, music and live demonstration by this talented artist. Exhibition organized by Katharine T. Carter & Associates.
Miami artist Pablo Cano is in the Main Gallery with Marionettes To Cake Boxes, a collection of marionettes, small cake box "stages" and large backdrops from past performances. The Kuhn Family Gallery hosts a collection of Beverly Myers' acrylic paintings - Fearless with Color
Bruce Helander is guest curator for this exhibition.
An interactive digital exhibition by Nathan Selikoff - Beautiful Chaos is in The Cube through September 12.

All artwork must be submitted on September 27, 2014 by 2pm in order to be eligible for the exhibit. All artwork delivered after 2pm on intake date will not be eligible for the exhibit. Non-refundable entry fee for up to three pieces.

Annual Auditions - Florida's Singing Sons Boychoir

Annual auditions for new Training Choir members will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 and Oct. 4 from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., at Boychoir headquarters located at 1229 N.E. 37 Street, Oakland Park, 33334. Additional times are available upon request. To be eligible, boys must be at least 8 years old or in the 3rd grade, but need not have any prior musical experience.

Port Everglades T-4 Solar Lamp Post Project
In partnership with Port Everglades, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one artist or artist team to design, fabricate and install site-specific artwork for attachment to eight (8) solar-powered concrete street lamps located at the entrance and periphery of the parking lot adjacent to Cruise Terminal 4 (T-4) at Port Everglades. The selected artist or artist team’s unique approach to the project is welcomed and the desired effect is an aesthetic impact that reinforces the notion that Port Everglades is a world-class seaport.

Port Everglades Entryway Project
In partnership with Port Everglades, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the Broward Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Program is seeking to commission one or more artists or artist teams to design, fabricate and install site specific artwork for the North security checkpoint entry to Port Everglades and at specific locations along Eisenhower Boulevard. Port Everglades, at their discretion may expand the project scope of work to use some or all of the design and art concepts proposed for the Eisenhower Boulevard gate on other existing gates, specifically at Eller Drive and Spangler Boulevard gates, to achieve uniform of imagery at all entryways.

Observers Program – Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation
The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation is accepting applications from emerging directors and choreographers interested in observing the work of master directors and choreographers as they create productions on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and at leading regional theaters across the country. Twenty-five individuals will receive the opportunity along with a weekly stipend of at least $225, plus a project travel stipend.

21st Century Solutions – NBCUniversal Foundation – Broward, Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties
The NBCUniversal Foundation is partnering with NBC South Florida to launch 21st Century Solutions, its third annual grant challenge for local non-profit organizations implementing new and innovative programs in Media Arts. The first place grant recipient will receive a $50,000 grant and two runners-up will each receive $25,000, totaling $100,000 in grants for South Florida.

YoungArts Residency in Visual Arts — National YoungArts Foundation — Miami, FL
The National YoungArts Foundation, with the generous support of The Related Group, has established the YoungArts Residency in Visual Arts, the first of several residency programs in the visual, literary, design and performing arts the organization. The YoungArts Residency in Visual Arts, open to emerging and mid-career artists across the country, provides artists with time, space and resources; helps them forge key relationships; and gives them the chance to work in Miami and engage with its community. Artists participating in the program will receive an honorarium of up to $10,000, a stipend, three-12 weeks of housing and the opportunity to work with master artists and curators.

NEH Bridging Cultures at Community Colleges grants are intended to strengthen and enrich humanities education and scholarship at community colleges or community college systems. Grants are used to enhance the humanities content of existing programs, develop new programs, or lay the foundation for more extensive endeavors in the future. Projects must focus on the theme of Bridging Cultures. NEH expects to award five to seven grants of up to $120,000 each in outright funds.

The 2015 USArtists International program provides support for American dance, music, and theater ensembles and solo artists from across the country who have been invited to perform at significant international festivals and, new this year, performing arts markets anywhere in the world outside the United States and its territories. Grants generally range from $1000–10,000. There are a total of three grant rounds.

2015 Young Artists Prize — National YoungArts Foundation
The National YoungArts Foundation provides emerging artists (between the ages of 15 and 18 or in grades 10-12) with opportunities to work with renowned mentors, access to significant scholarships, national recognition, and other opportunities to help ensure that the nation’s most outstanding young artists are encouraged to pursue a career in the arts. Each year up to seven hundred students are selected from across the country as national winners. Each winner will receive a grant of up to $10,000, have the opportunity to attend YoungArts programs, and partake in master classes with internationally renowned artists, workshops, interdisciplinary activities, performances, and exhibitions.

Each year starting in 2010, Girls’ Club has organized the community-wide art event Art Fallout to highlight the growing presence and production of contemporary art in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Girls’ Club connects with various art venues, artist studios, museums, galleries and alternative spaces to present a city-wide artwalk-style event. Volunteers are needed to spread awareness of the event, install and de-install artworks at different locations, document with photo and video, staff shuttle buses and help guide visitors to participating destinations.

ACLS invites applications for the Henry Luce Foundation/ACLS Dissertation Fellowships in American Art designated for graduate students in any stage of PhD dissertation research or writing. Ten fellowships are available for a non-renewable, one-year term beginning between June and September 2015 for the 2015-16 academic year. The fellowships may be carried out in residence at the fellow's home institution, abroad, or at another appropriate site for the research. QUILTED – Public Art Chattanooga – Chattanooga, TN
Public Art Chattanooga (PAC) and the Chattanooga Convention and Visitor’s Bureau (CVB), are seeking proposals for original, two-dimensional designs that will be printed and installed on multiple sidewalks throughout downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. Three designs will be selected for production and installed for up to six months beginning in September 2014. The selected artists/designers will receive a $2,000 honorarium for their design. Proposed artwork should be in the spirit and language of quilts (i.e. pattern, geometry and color).

Chamber South invites you to apply to the 43rd Annual Chamber South South Miami Art Festival, a fine arts show featuring juried artists from across the country with over 50,000 visitors. The City of Ocala in partnership with the Appleton Museum of Art, Fine Arts For Ocala, and Marion Cultural Alliance is issuing a "Call to Artists" for the second annual OCALA Outdoor Sculpture Competition at Tuscawilla Park. The competition is open to all artists age 18 and older who are working in North America. Each artist may submit up to three sculptures. Artists will compete for cash awards ranging from $500-2000. The 10 sculptors whose works are chosen will each receive a $1000 honorarium.

The Devil in the Straight Line Juried Show — International Encaustic Artists (IEA) — Miami, FL
This open juried show, entitled 'The Devil in the Straight Line,' is inspired by Austrian Friedensreich Hundertwasser, one of the best-known late 20th century artists. Hundertwasser's approach has been described as 'Gegen die gerade Linie', against the straight line. The juror will be Henning Haupt, a Florida-based German artist and educator. All 2D and 3D encaustic work, including artist books, is eligible. All selected artists' work must be for sale. 70% of the selling price will go to the artist. 20% of the selling price goes to Bakehouse Art Complex and 10% goes to IEA. The entry fee includes up to 3 artworks, but up to 3 additional artworks can be submitted for $5 each.

The City of El Paso Public Art Program of the Museums and Cultural Affairs Department seeks to commission a professional artist or artist team to design, fabricate and install site-integrated artwork or artworks for the El Paso Zoo Plaza Area. The El Paso Zoo’s mission is to celebrate the value of animals and natural resources and to create opportunities for people to rediscover their connection to nature. The total project budget is $150,000 to include design, fabrication and installation.

Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center, in Fort Lauderdale, is currently accepting original art work for the 9th Annual Ribbons for the Children event in recognition of World AIDS Day. This event benefits CDTC’s Comprehensive Family AIDS Program which supports children and families infected and affected with HIV/AIDS. CDTC invites artists to produce and donate an original visual art piece that reflects their interpretation of the AIDS Ribbon.

The goal of the Nelson Mandela Memorial Design Competition is to elicit the most creative and exceptional designs for this significant public memorial project. We envision a memorial that will support the education and inspiration of our youth, initiating the kind of dialogue and activism that will ensure Nelson Mandela’s legacy continues to drive positive change. The Nelson Mandela Foundation will select the winning design. The winning design will be announced December 2014 and the designer will be awarded $1,000 USD in return for full ownership rights.

51st Annual Fine Arts Festival — Old Florida Celebration of the Arts — Cedar Key, FL
Established in 1964 and formerly known as the Cedar Key Sidewalk Arts Festival, this event was revived in 2005 - returning to a juried fine arts show. Since then the event's reputation has grown and the festival has become one of the most charming shows in Florida. 120 artists will be invited through the jury process.

Fee: $32 to apply, $165 for a booth

"Express Yourself:  American Stories As Told Through the Cultural Arts"

The Mizner Park Amphitheater



-Showcase the variety of culture that Boca Raton has to offer

-Engage the community in supporting, volunteering for, and participating in these organizations/performances

-Create a sense of community with a themed event that will promote the historic final Presidential Debate on October 22, 2012 at Lynn University in Boca Raton.


 As the various groups have talented musicians, dancers, artists, actors, writers and film makers, we will showcase eight - 15 minute performances on stage during the event.  Some organizations may prefer to showcase their interpretation of "American Stories" with a stationary event within or around their display tent.  The Boca Raton Museum of Art will have extended hours that evening and will offer free admission for Boca Raton residents to its Americana Quilt exhibit:   Politics Not as Usual: Quilts with Something to Say. 



If your organization is interested in "expressing itself" at this very special community event, please complete the attached form and fax or email it back by July 15, 2012. Dear Friend of the Arts,
I am writing to you because you are one who appreciates the beauty of Nature and Wildlife. We have much in common. I am the Founder and President of the Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital, a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization located in Sportsplex Park on 5 acres of land donated by the City of Coral Springs. We educate adults and children about the flora and fauna of our state and of its natural resources and history. We also take in injured, sick and orphaned wildlife with the hopes of rehabilitating them and releasing them back into the wild. Those that can not be released are provided with permanent homes and serve as “educational ambassadors”. We provide environmental education, nature art, crafts & photography classes to the public through school, club, scouts and library programs. We also host summer, spring & winter camp for children 6-12, weekly pre-school programs and offer specialized programs for disadvantaged youth, children with special needs and for senior centers and nursing homes.
As a private non- profit we do not receive any city, state or federal funding therefore we must rely on our fundraising efforts. Our annual Gala is our major annual fundraiser this year’s Moonlight Masquerade Gala our 17th is to be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Plaza del Lago @ Heron Bay in Parkland, Florida. The evening’s festivities will include entertainment, cocktails, sumptuous food, raffle and our fabulous silent and live auction.
In order to make this a successful event, we were hoping that you would consider donating one of your art pieces, paintings (or prints) for us to auction off at our Gala.
