I am passionate about art and teaching, and
have had the privilege to combine both for most
of my life. I grew up in Columbus Ohio, and
received a Bachelor in Art Education from Ohio
State University. I moved to Florida in 1981,
and earned a Masters in art Education from
Florida Atlantic University. I have had the
opportunity to teach K-12 Visual Art for the
last 34 years while experimenting with different
media and themes to develop my own art. During
the summer months I travel to Canada where I
enjoy Plein Air watercolor painting in downtown
Toronto, throughout Ontario, and Grand Manan
Island, New Brunswick. Recently, I have expanded
my work to include acrylics, and mixed media
collage. For me, the natural beauty and color in
the landscape is the primary focus of my work.
Hopefully through my paintings the viewers will
be able to experience everyday places and spaces
in a new light.
I am currently a member of the Coral Springs
Artist Guild, Women in the Visual Arts, and
the National Art Education Association.
